On January 27, Arijit Singh had announced his retirement from playback singing through Instagram. In his message, he thanked the fans and said that he will no longer accept new playback assignments. He described his journey so far as “very beautiful”.

However, later he also clarified that many songs have already been recorded or are incomplete, which will continue to be released this year and next year. That means his voice will not disappear completely in films. Arijit has also recently sung a song for the film ‘Ek Din’, in which Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi will be seen.
