Alia Bhatt made significant progress in the showbiz. She was once ridiculed for not looking the part in 2 States. Recently, Arjun Kapoor recalled how Highway altered her perspective in front of the public on a single Friday.
He talked about his experience working with Alia Bhatt in two states in an interview with Mashable India. The actor revealed a little-known fact: when Alia signed on to the 2014 romantic comedy-drama, there was a lot of hate and contempt on social media. She didn’t look South Indian enough, according to some.
The Singham Again star claims that because people had already read the novel, she had not received the attention she deserved.
However, the Jigra actress never voiced any complaints about it, hence she is a brilliant example of how hard effort and perseverance can make things work out, said Kapoor. The actor went on to say that she had an audition and a discreet photo shoot.
The actor also recalled in the same interview that Bhatt shot Highway and 2 States while he was filming Gunday and 2 States. Thereafter, the world’s perception of Alia Bhatt drastically shifted when Highway was released, right before 2 States. According to Arjun, “One Friday before, people questioned her casting in this film, and after that, she was the ultimate perfect choice.”
On the professional front, Arjun was recently seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again meanwhile Alia is filming for Alpha and Love & War.
