Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal, who was seen in the film, is also garnering a lot of praise for his character. Meanwhile, the actor recently shared the experience of that dreadful night while remembering the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack of 2008. He told that that incident shook him deeply and its impact remained on his life for a long time.
Arjun Rampal’s shocking revelation
Hello! held in Mumbai! During the Hall of Fame Awards, Arjun Rampal told that on the night of 26 November 2008, he was present in Mumbai and was preparing for his birthday. The actor said-“On 26 November 2008, I was in the hotel (Four Seasons, Worli). I had come to pick up my friends and we were going to Taj Hotel to celebrate my birthday. A boy was getting ready… We were at the bar, we ordered a drink and the first bomb exploded near Mahim (near Worli). I heard that sound and my glass shook. We were all left wondering ‘What was this?'”
Arjun Rampal stuck in hotel
he adds, “Within 10 minutes our phones started ringing and everyone was saying that there was a gang war in Colaba and we were asked not to go there. Within 20 to 30 minutes the entire Four Seasons Hotel was surrounded. We were allowed to stay in the hotel that night and were told not to go out as it was not safe. On my birthday I saw the horrors of the 26/11 attacks before my eyes.”
Arjun further told that when he was returning home the next morning, he had to stop several times on the way because he was extremely mentally disturbed. This incident left a deep impact on his heart and mind.
Revenge of 26/11 in ‘Dhurandhar’
Referring to this experience, he said – When director Aditya Dhar narrated me the scene related to 26/11 in the film ‘Dhurandhar’, I felt that I am going to take my revenge through this, and I did the same in ‘Dhurandhar’. I just want to say, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.”
