Armaan Kohli’s struggle from stardom to decline, even Akshay-Sunny could not save his sinking career.
New Delhi: There have been many stars in Bollywood whose luck did not favor them and Armaan Kohli’s name is also included in them. There was a time when his father Rajkumar Kohli had put all his strength and capital at stake to improve his son’s career. Despite this, Armaan Kohli could not achieve the position that was expected from him.
The film Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, released in the year 2002, featured Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty and Manisha Koirala, but the main center of the film was Armaan Kohli. His father Rajkumar Kohli tried his best to revive his son’s sinking career through this film, but the film proved to be a huge flop at the box office, although later it became popular on TV.
Armaan Kohli was born in a film family where his father was a famous producer and director of the 70s and 80s and his mother Nishi Kohli was also a successful actress of her time. In such an environment, his childhood was spent among films and big stars, which gave him many opportunities in the industry right from the beginning.
But from the beginning of his career, his decisions had a deep impact on his future. In 1992, he got a chance to work with Divya Bharti in the film Deewana, but due to his behavior on the set, he was thrown out of the film. Later, this film proved to be a big success for Shahrukh Khan and he achieved superstar status overnight.
After this, big projects like Baazigar and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge also went out of his hands because he refused to accept the roles which he did not consider equal to the lead role. These decisions directly benefited other artists and those films became history.
During this time, his father continuously tried to launch him but films like Virothi Anam and Zuaari failed at the box office. However, even after working with stars like Sunny Deol and Sunil Shetty in the film Kahar, he did not get a big break.
In 2015, on the recommendation of Salman Khan, he got a negative role in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and the film was successful but it could not give new heights to his career.
In 2013, the reality show Bigg Boss 7 once again brought her into the limelight but this time the reason was negative. Her anger and controversies in the show greatly damaged her image. During an incident, the dispute with Sofia Hayat escalated so much that the matter reached the police and she was also arrested on national television.
This incident proved to be a big turning point in his career and his image was established as an angry and unstable person. Today Armaan Kohli may be away from acting but he is trying to make a comeback in the industry with his new projects and direction plans.
