Pooja Khedkar's arrest postponed till February 14, notice issued to Delhi government and UPSC

New Delhi : The Supreme Court has stayed the arrest of former IAS officer Pooja Khedkar till 14 February. The Supreme Court on Wednesday heard the anticipatory bail plea of ​​Pooja Khedkar and overturned the December 23 order of the Delhi High Court.

Advocate Siddharth Luthra, appearing on behalf of Pooja in the court, said – There are some comments in the High Court order, due to which if the trial starts, Pooja may be proved guilty. On this, the bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma issued notice to UPSC and Delhi Government. The court said that the next hearing of the case will be on February 14.

accused of taking unfair advantage

Actually, Pooja is accused of cheating in UPSC exam and taking unfair advantage of OBC and disabled quota. Following the complaint by UPSC, Delhi Police had registered a case of cheating and forgery against Pooja Khedkar.

anticipatory bail petition filed

To avoid arrest, Pooja had filed an anticipatory bail petition. Delhi's Patiala House Court had rejected Pooja's anticipatory bail plea on August 1. After this, Pooja approached the Delhi High Court, where on 23 December, Pooja's bail plea was rejected.
