An arrest warrant has been issued against former India cricketer Robin Uthappa for allegedly committing Provident Fund fraud, failing to deposit ₹23 lakh in employee accounts. Authorities are investigating.
New Delhi: An arrest warrant has been issued against former indian cricketer Robin Uthappa following allegations of Provident Fund (PF) fraud. The warrant was issued by PF Regional Commissioner Shadakshari Gopal Reddy, who also directed Pulakeshinagar police to take necessary action.
Uthappa, who managed a private company named Centuries Lifestyle Brand Private Limitedis accused of deducting PF contributions from employees’ salaries but failing to deposit the funds into their accounts. The alleged fraud amounts to ₹23 lakh.
In a letter dated December 4, Commissioner Reddy instructed the police to execute the arrest warrant. However, the warrant was returned to the PF office as Uthappa is believed to have changed his residence.
Authorities are now investigating further to locate the cricketer and ensure compliance with the law.
