Arsenal’s Timber fit to face PSG: Arteta ahead of UCL final

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said on Friday that defender Jurrien Timber was available to start the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Dutch right-back has been sidelined since mid-March with a groin injury but could be involved against the French champion on Saturday in Budapest.

“He’s fit,” said the coach, also confirming that winger Noni Madueke was ready to play after a hamstring injury scare in Arsenal’s win over Crystal Palace in the side’s final Premier League match.

English champion Arsenal is aiming to win the competition for the first time in its history, while PSG hopes to secure back-to-back triumphs.
