Illegal arms gang busted, four country made pistols recovered from henchmen of Jaga Fukiwal gang
Chandigarh. Punjab Police has arrested Amandeep alias Aman, a henchman of Jaga Fukiwal gang in Kapurthala and recovered four country-made pistols from his possession. Amandeep used to provide weapons to the gangs operating in the area for firing and extortion incidents. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Wednesday that a total of 9 country made pistols have been recovered so far in this action. During investigation, Amandeep revealed that he had given two pistols to his associate Lovepreet alias Baba. The police caught him also. During his search, one .32 bore and one .315 bore country made pistol along with two live cartridges were recovered. Police said that both the criminals were running a network of illegal arms supply in the area for a long time, through which local gangsters used to carry out crimes. After strict interrogation of Amandeep, the police recovered three more country-made pistols from his house, which he had buried in the ground. All the recovered weapons have been sent for forensic examination, so that it can be found out in which incidents they were used. In this case, FIR has been registered in Sadar Kapurthala police station. The police is now busy tracing the backward and forward links of the entire network, so that the illegal arms supply chain can be completely broken.
