In Chief Minister’s mass marriage, 178 couples held each other’s hands, 138 couples took seven rounds.

Under the auspices of the district administration, under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme run by the Social Welfare Department, a mass marriage program of 178 couples was organized at Vidhan Sabha Sadar Ramlila Maidan on Sunday. Chief guest Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna inaugurated the program by cutting the ribbon of the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Ceremony 2025 at the OCF grounds, lighting the lamp in front of the picture of Lord Ganesha and laying a wreath.
In this programme, marriages of a total of 178 couples were solemnized in which 138 Hindu and 40 Muslim couples were solemnized as per religious beliefs. Minister Suresh Khanna reached the pandal and blessed the newly married couples and instructed the groom’s side not to trouble their daughter in any way. Chief Development Officer Dr. Aparajita Singh gave detailed information regarding the Chief Minister’s mass wedding ceremony. He told that per couple, ₹ 100000 is given by the government, out of which ₹ 60000 is spent as FD in the girl’s bank account and ₹ 25000 is spent on items and ₹ 15000 is spent on other arrangements. During the program, the chief guest said in his address that the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme has become very famous since 7,8 years. He said that as soon as a girl was born, people in the society started making faces. The Chief Minister has worked to change the thinking of the people by bringing this scheme. He told that under Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the Uttar Pradesh government gives ₹ 25000 in 06 stages from the birth of the daughter to her education so that the daughters can become self-reliant and self-reliant. Through self-help groups organized by the government, daughters are becoming self-reliant by making products and marketing various items.
He said that today the newly married couples are being married with great pomp and show. The chief guest said that till now 8661 couples in the district and 2035 couples in the Sadar Assembly have tied the knot under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme. He said that girls should not be considered a burden, the central and state governments are working to make daughters self-reliant and self-reliant. He said that today is a very good time for marriage. From the government, district administration and public representatives, the newly married couples are wishing a bright future.
MP Arun Kumar Sagar praised the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme and wished all the newly married couples all the best for their married life. In the end, the chief guest gifted gifts to the new couple and blessed them and wished them a bright future. On this occasion, MLC Dr. Sudhir Gupta, District President KC Mishra, Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vipin Kumar Mishra, Additional Municipal Commissioner SK Singh, SP City Devendra Kumar, PD DRDA Awadhesh Ram, District Development Officer Rishipal Singh, former District Panchayat President Virendra Pal Singh Yadav, former Sanitation Commission Chairman Surendranath Valmiki, Block Chief Rajaram Verma, Muneshwar and other concerned officers and public representatives were present.
