Violent clash between two groups over land dispute, woman dies
Alwar : On Friday morning, a violent clash broke out between two groups over a land dispute in Mubarikpur village of Naugaon police station area. Both sides attacked each other with sticks and stones. Meanwhile, a group opened fire, in which 50-year-old woman Deepu Bai was shot in the neck and she died on the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, top police officials reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital. In view of the tension in the village, police from several police stations have been deployed. According to the villagers, there was tension between the two parties for the last 20 days regarding three bighas of non-Khatedari land. This land is in the name of Charan Singh. Out of this, one bigha is cultivated by his cousin Jangir Singh, while two bighas of land is in the possession of Charan Singh’s family. Jangir Singh had recently taken a stay from the court on the entire three bigha land. Since then he was trying to establish his authority over the entire land. There were frequent arguments and fights between the two sides regarding this issue. There was a dispute between the two groups on Thursday evening too, which was resolved by the villagers.
On Friday morning, Jangir Singh reached the spot with eight people and attacked Charan Singh’s family with sticks. Within no time, stone pelting started from both sides. Meanwhile, Jangir Singh suddenly fired, due to which Deepu Bai was shot in the neck. The woman died on the spot as soon as the bullet hit her. After the incident, there was chaos in the village and people started running here and there. The deceased’s husband Charan Singh and his sons Kuldeep, Kulwant, Angrez and Balveer Singh were seriously injured in the incident. The police admitted everyone to the government hospital in Nagaon. At the same time, Jangeer Singh of the attacking party was also badly injured, who has been referred to Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital, Alwar. The police is investigating the entire matter and additional forces are deployed in the village.
