Government’s statement comes amid IndiGo flight crisis, know when relief will be available

New Delhi. Amidst the IndiGo flights crisis, on Friday, the government has decided to adopt several other measures to normalize operations by keeping the new Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) rules in abeyance for the time being. According to PTI news, this information was given by Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu gave. The minister said the government has ordered a high-level inquiry to determine the causes and responsibility for the IndiGo flight disruption. He also said that the flight schedule is expected to return to normal by tomorrow with the commencement of various operational steps.

Service will be completely restored within the next 3 days
The Civil Aviation Minister further said that we expect full restoration of services to be completed within the next 3 days. This initiative of the government is being considered an important step towards reducing the inconvenience to passengers and stabilizing IndiGo flight operations. The Civil Aviation Ministry has said that the Government of India has decided to conduct a high-level inquiry into the disruption in IndiGo service. The investigation will look at what went wrong at IndiGo, fix accountability for appropriate action wherever necessary, and suggest measures to prevent such disruptions in future, so that passengers do not have to face such problems again.

Orders to accommodate passengers in hotels
An order issued by the ministry said that if passengers are found temporarily stranded, they will be accommodated in hotels, the booking of which will be done by the airlines. Special arrangements have been made for the convenience of senior citizens, they will be given lounge access. Refreshments and other necessary facilities will be provided to passengers flying late. The ministry has also set up a 24×7 control room, which is monitoring the situation from time to time.

Government in constant touch with all stakeholders
The Civil Aviation Ministry said that the Central Government is fully alert to the problems of air passengers and is in constant touch with all the stakeholders. The ministry said all possible measures, including relaxation in rules announced by the DGCA on Friday, will be taken to restore schedules and ensure stability of services. Earlier, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation had given a one-time temporary exemption to IndiGo Airlines, so that flight operations are stable and passengers face less inconvenience.
