Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant achieved a new milestone by becoming the eighth player in NBA history to reach 31,000 career points by scoring 28 points in Friday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns. The Rockets won the match 117-98. Durant achieved this feat against his former team, the Suns. This match was also special for him because he faced his old teammates for the first time after the seven-team blockbuster trade. Durant missed the November 24 game in Phoenix due to personal reasons, which Houston won 114–92. Amen Thompson performed brilliantly for the Rockets, scoring his highest 31 points of the season and playing an important role in giving the team its fifth win in six matches.
