Bulldozer ran on a large part of Romeo Lane Club in Goa, 5 people arrested so far
Goa: The issue of massive fire in Goa’s night club and death of 25 people is a hot topic. Goa government is in action mode in this matter and today a major action has been taken against ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ club. On the orders of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, bulldozer action has been taken on a large part of Luthra Brothers’ Romeo Lane Club on Vagator Beach and it has been demolished.
This part of the club was created by encroaching the sea beach. Tourism Department officials had sealed the club this morning itself. Bulldozer reached here in the evening. Dheeraj, Deputy Director of Goa Tourism Department, said that in July this year also this part of the club was demolished but the owners of the club again encroached on the place.
Strict action against all the restaurants and clubs of Romeo Lane located on the beach
Apart from Vagator, strict action is also being taken against all the restaurants and clubs of Romeo Lane located on other beaches. Apart from Vagator, Caha by Romeo Lane restaurant on Anjuna beach has also been sealed. Kaha Club is a very famous food joint on Anjuna Beach.
In fact, the club which was demolished today in Vagator was also being run flouting the rules. Like Arpora, here too there is only one narrow way out. The entire construction of the restaurant is made of wood. Grass and straw have been used. The roof is also wooden. Arpora’s club had a similar roof due to which the fire spread rapidly.
5 people arrested so far
Goa Police has so far arrested five people in this case but Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of Birch by Romeo Lane, have fled to Thailand. Today Interpol’s Blue Corner Notice has been issued against the Luthra brothers. The location of both was found in Delhi but before the Goa Police could take action, both had fled to Phuket. Varsha Sharma said that no matter where the criminals are hiding in the world, they will be brought under the ambit of law as soon as possible.
