As per the instructions of District Magistrate Ashwini Kumar Pandey, blankets were distributed in all the tehsils of the district today in conjunction with the District Disaster Management Authority. In the program organized, the public representatives of the district distributed blankets to the weak, destitute, helpless class of women and elderly and assured them that the state government stands with them in the cold weather. District Panchayat President and Co-Chairman District Disaster Management Authority Daddan Mishra distributed blankets in Bhinga Tehsil, Legislative Council Member Dr. Pragya Tripathi distributed blankets in Tehsil Jamunha and MLA Shravasti Ramferan Pandey in Tehsil Ikauna.
On this occasion, District Panchayat President and Co-Chairman District Disaster Management Authority Daddan Mishra said that for the Prime Minister of the country and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the people of the country are family, hence he constantly takes care of the comfort and convenience of all of you. To protect from the cold, arrangements have been made for distribution of blankets, bonfires and night shelters so that the common people can be saved from the cold.
Member Legislative Council Dr. Pragya Tripathi said that the government schemes are reaching every village so that no one faces any problem due to cold, hence we are going to the villages and distributing blankets to the needy. Bonfires are being lit at all the major places. Tarpaulins have been installed in cow sheds for destitute cows.
MLA Shravasti Ramferan Pandey said that all possible efforts will be made to protect the area residents from the cold. The government stands with every needy person, we all will together face the cold wave. In all the tehsils, the program was presided over by the respective sub-district magistrates and the program was coordinated by disaster expert Arun Kumar Mishra.
