7 buses and 3 cars caught fire in Mathura, six passengers died and 25 injured

Mathura . Seven buses and three cars caught fire early today in Mathura district on the Delhi-Agra Yamuna Expressway, causing major casualties. Fire brigade personnel have gained control over the fire. District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar and other officers are present at the spot. Officials said seven buses and three cars collided amid dense fog. After this these vehicles caught fire. Six people have been confirmed dead. More than 25 people have been burnt. Traffic has been temporarily stopped on the affected stretch of the expressway.

Mathura Senior Superintendent of Police Kumar said that seven buses and three cars collided with each other. Due to this all the vehicles caught fire. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. Relief and rescue work is almost complete. So far, six people have been confirmed dead, while 25 burnt people have been admitted to the hospital. The condition of everyone is said to be stable. The bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem.

Taking cognizance of the accident, the Chief Minister has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Besides, instructions have been given for proper and better treatment of the injured. The District Magistrate said that the treatment of burnt people is going on in the hospital.
