New Delhi . There is good news on the economy front. The country’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $ 1.69 billion to reach $ 688.95 billion in the week ending December 12. In the last week, foreign exchange reserves had increased by $ 1.03 billion to $ 687.26 billion.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in the data released on Friday that in the week ending December 12, foreign currency assets also increased by $ 906 million to $ 557.79 billion. In the same week, the value of gold reserves increased by $ 758 million to $ 107.74 billion. During this period, Special Drawing Rights (SDR) also increased by 1.4 billion dollars to 18.74 billion dollars. According to the data, India’s reserves in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) increased by $ 11 million to reach $ 4.69 billion.
