NCR wrapped in white sheet, visibility remained zero due to fog

Noida. The National Capital Region (NCR) was covered with a white blanket of fog on Saturday. Visibility became zero. Drivers had to face a lot of inconvenience while driving on highways and other roads. The situation was such that drivers were seen on the road driving at a speed of 10-15 kmph. Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic, Dr. Praveen Ranjan Singh said that police officers remained deployed on various highways here from late night till morning. He stopped the drivers and advised them to drive safely. At many places, police stopped heavy vehicle drivers and gave them tea and cautioned them to be alert while driving and if they feel sleepy, they should park their vehicles on the roadside.

Visibility remained zero since this morning. The situation was such that even nearby things were not visible. The white blanket of fog wreaked such havoc in Noida and surrounding areas that people could not see anything even 1 meter away. It was becoming difficult to see from one tower to another in the society here. When people woke up in the morning, the entire city was covered with white sheets. Visibility on various expressways here including Yamuna Expressway, Noida Expressway, National Highway 91, National Highway 24, Eastern Peripheral Expressway was recorded zero since morning. Drivers had to face a lot of problems due to fog. Due to fog, people doing duty in various industrial units here could not reach on time.
