Thane, Today is a very important day in the politics of Maharashtra. Counting of votes continues for local body elections. In the trends/results, BJP-led Mahayuti is leading on 214 seats. Everyone’s eyes were on the election results. The results of these elections are being declared today. Results are coming out from many areas of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, unexpected results have been seen in some city councils and nagar panchayats, while at some places the parties have retained their traditional strongholds. But overall, the victory of the grand alliance of BJP-Shiv Sena and NCP is clearly visible in the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat election results. On this victory, State Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took a dig at Mahavikas Aghadi in a press conference after seeing the victory of Mahayuti.
Shinde elated over Shiv Sena’s half century!
Eknath Shinde said that after the Assembly elections, Mahayuti has got a bumper victory in the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections also. These results indicate that Mahayuti will get a big victory in the upcoming municipal elections also. The opposition will not be able to stand. In the election results, BJP crossed the century and Shiv Sena scored half century. Our party ‘Shiv Sena’ has also had a good strike rate. Despite contesting elections on less seats, we made our city presidents and corporators win on more seats.
Shinde further said that Shiv Sena alone has won more seats than the total number of seats won by Mahavikas Aghadi. Some people think that ‘Shiv Sena’ is limited to Thane only, but now the results of the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections have shown that it is not so. Shiv Sena’s influence is outside also.

On the results of local body elections, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said in Thane, ‘I congratulate the voters. Mahayuti was successful in the Lok Sabha, Assembly and municipal elections. There are indications that the Mahayuti alliance will be successful in the upcoming municipal elections also. BJP scored a century and Shiv Sena scored a half-century. Shinde said- The public showed whose real Shiv Sena?
At the same time, taking a dig at Uddhav Thackeray, Eknath Shinde said that those who sit at home, the voters made them sit at home in this election. The public has once again shown whose real Shiv Sena is. Let us tell you here that in the results so far, Shiv Sena has won 44 seats in the Municipal Council and 8 seats in the Nagar Panchayat.

On the results of local body elections, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that first of all, I thank the people of Maharashtra. The people of the state have given tremendous support to BJP and Mahayuti. I had already predicted that 75% of all elected city council presidents would be from Mahayuti and the people have given exactly the same verdict. It has also become clear that Bharatiya Janata Party is the number one party. So far, about 129 city council presidents have been elected from BJP.
