Rohit Sharma had decided to retire
He further said that after the defeat in Ahmedabad, I honestly felt that I did not want to play cricket any more. I had given everything for that World Cup. When we lost, I felt that there was nothing left in my body and mind. It seemed as if this game had taken away all my energy from me. After that I was not able to feel anything. It took me several months to get over it.

How did Rohit Sharma come out of the sorrow of that defeat?
Rohit said that I think when you get so engrossed in something and do not get the desired result, then it is natural for this to happen and the same happened with me after that defeat. But I also knew that life does not end here. This was a big lesson for me on how to come out of such situations. How to reset yourself and start fresh. I knew something else was coming, the 2024 T20 World Cup was coming and I had to focus all my attention on that. This is very easy to say now, but at that time it was very difficult.
