IED blast on railway track in Balochistan, Pakistan, railway track destroyed
Quetta. Information about IED blast near Dera Murad Jamali in Balochistan, Pakistan came to light. The IED was planted on the railway track. Due to the explosion, a part of the railway track was destroyed. However, the police have defused another explosive device. This is not the first time that such a blast has taken place in this area of Balochistan. Even before this, such explosions have been seen many times. Police said the miscreants had planted an explosive device (IED) on the main railway track near Notal area of Nasirabad district. According to the report of Pakistani media Dawn, a major incident was averted.
On Tuesday, Jaffar Express going from Peshawar to Quetta was about to reach the spot when the IED exploded. At the same time, after the blast, train service had to be stopped due to damage to a part of the railway track. Railway officials stopped Jaffar Express at Dera Murad Jamali. Apart from this, train services between Quetta and other areas have been stopped for the time being till the track is completely repaired. After the blast, a large team of police, bomb disposal squad and security forces reached the spot and started a search operation to find the people involved in the incident.
