Jaipur: The new season of Vijay Hazare Trophy, the biggest ODI tournament of Indian domestic cricket, started from December 24, in which a total of 22 century innings were seen on the first day of the tournament. When Rohit came to bat against Sikkim in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored an excellent inning of 155 runs in just 94 balls, which included 18 fours and 9 sixes. On the basis of this innings, Rohit has now reached par with David Warner in terms of playing innings of 150 or more runs in the history of List-A cricket. This was Rohit’s 9th inning of 150 or more runs in List-A cricket. This is Rohit’s 37th century in List-A cricket in which he is at sixth position in terms of scoring most centuries. Ahead of Rohit are the names of Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Graham Gooch, Graham Hick and Kumar Sangakkara.

With Rohit Sharma’s brilliant inning of 155 runs in the match against Sikkim, he has become the second oldest player to score a century in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy. The name of Anustup Majumdar is at number one in this list, who played a century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at the age of 39. Whereas Rohit has scored a century at the age of 38 years 238 days. Mumbai team now has to play its next match against Uttarakhand team in Group C on 26th December, which will be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
