Lucknow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Congress worked to belittle the great personalities who contributed to the development of the country. The BJP government has equally respected and remembered the contributions of Ambedkar, Narasimha Rao, Pranab Mukherjee, Bhagwan Virsa Munda and Atalji. There was an attempt in the country to give all the credit to one family by shortening the line of others, BJP has changed that too.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing a public meeting here on Thursday after inaugurating the newly constructed Rashtra Prerna Sthal on the occasion of the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. While wishing Christmas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today this land of Lucknow is witnessing a new inspiration. This day of 25th December brings the occasion of birth of two great personalities. It is the birth anniversary of Atalji and Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviyaji. Today is also the birth anniversary of Maharaja Bijli Pasi. The legacy left by Maharaja Bijli Pasi was carried forward by our Pasi community. It was a coincidence that Atalji himself issued a postage stamp in the name of Maharaja Bijli Pasi in the year 2000. I salute these great personalities.
Narendra Modi said that this place of national inspiration is a symbol of the thinking which showed India the path of self-respect and unity. Their thoughts are higher than the statues of Mukherjee, Upadhyay and Atalji. While reading Atal ji’s poem ‘Step by step’, Modi said that this place of national inspiration gives us the message that our every step is for the nation. Only everyone’s efforts will prove the resolve of a developed India. Garbage was accumulated on this land for the last several decades. I wish all the best to the workers engaged in the construction of Prerna Sthal and Yogiji’s team.
Modi said that it was Dr. Mukherjee who had rejected the two main constitutions of India. BJP government got an opportunity to drop Article 370. As the first Industry Minister of independent India, he gave the country’s first industrial policy. Today we are giving importance to the same mantra of self-reliance. Today, goods manufactured in India are reaching all over the world. One district in UP is moving forward with one product success. On the other side, a defense corridor is being built. The world saw BrahMos. The day is not far when UP defense will be seen as productive.
Prime Minister Modi said that Deendayalji gave the philosophy of Integral Humanism. Where body, mind, intellect, all develop. Efforts should be made to bring every needy within the ambit of government welfare schemes. This is good governance. This is true secularism. Today, for the first time in India, we are getting permanent house, electricity, toilet, free treatment and food grains without any discrimination. Justice is being done to the ideas of Pandit Deendayal. The country has defeated poverty. This was possible because the BJP government gave priority to the last man.
Modi said that before 2014, there were 25 crore people who were under the social security ambit of the government. Today Rs 95 crore is in that range. A large number of people have got its benefits in Uttar Pradesh also. Very few people had bank accounts. Couldn’t even get insurance. Plans were made for insurance. Earlier these poor people could not even think about insurance. Through these schemes, our poor families have got benefits of about Rs 25 thousand crores.
Modi said that Atal ji truly brought good governance to the ground. The foundation for taking forward digital work was laid during Atal ji’s government. Due to the telecom policy of the Atal government, mobile and internet reached every household. Wherever Atal ji is today, he will be happy, today India has become a mobile manufacturer. UP is at the forefront in India. Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the efforts made by the Atal government regarding roads.
Attacking the Congress, Prime Minister Modi said that we should not forget that the tendency to link every achievement of India to a single family developed. The name of the same family, their statues were installed, schemes were implemented. BJP has also taken the country out of this trend. Our government is respecting everyone’s contribution. Today the contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is being remembered. BJP developed Ambedkar’s Panchatirtha. Congress tried to belittle Sardar Patel’s stature. Today his grand statue was installed. His contribution is being remembered. A memorial has been built in the name of Lord Virsa Munda. In Uttar Pradesh itself, memorials from Maharaja Suheldev to Nishad Raj have been built.
The Prime Minister said that people of familyism are victims of insecurity. He has a habit of shortening the lines of others. Many Prime Ministers were ignored in the Delhi Museum. The BJP government has changed that also. No matter how short the tenure of the Prime Minister was, he has been given equal respect in the Prime Minister’s Museum. Narasimha Rao and Pranab Dada were awarded Bharat Ratna. Other leaders including Tarun Gogoi and Mulayam Singh got respect in the BJP government.
Modi said that I am proud that I am an MP from Uttar Pradesh. Today the working people of Uttar Pradesh are writing a new story of development. UP was once known for poor law and order. Today, it is writing a new story of development by developing Ayodhya, Kashi and other places.
Prime Minister Modi concluded his speech by cheering the names of the three great personalities. On this occasion, Defense Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of State for Finance and UP BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak and other ministers and leaders of the UP government were present.
Such is the Rashtra Prerna Sthal, the huge bronze statues of Dr. Shyam Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Atal ji have been installed in the Rashtra Prerna Sthal developed on 65 acres in Sector-J of Basant Kunj Yojana of the state capital Lucknow. All the statues are 65 feet high. Rashtra Prerna Sthal has been built on Hardoi Marg on the banks of Gomti River in Lucknow. There are facilities like cafeteria, meditation center, rally grounds and auditorium. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated a museum based on the lives of these great personalities. This lotus shaped museum was visited by Prime Minister Modi and other leaders. The statue of Bharat Mata has been given place. Anyone coming here will get a glimpse of India’s 100 years’ journey.
