Accused of Rs 111.63 crore scam in Palghar’s Jawhar again in police custody

Mumbai . Both the main accused have again been sent to police custody in the case of scam of Rs 111 crore 63 lakh related to the security deposit amount of contractors in Palghar’s Jawhar Public Works Department.

In the case, accused Nilesh Ramesh Padwale and departmental accounts employee Yajnesh Dinkar Ambhire are accused of trying to withdraw government money through money orders with fake signatures.

During the investigation, both of them were first arrested and kept in police custody, later they were granted bail. As the investigation remained incomplete, the Economic Offenses Wing approached the court. After the appeal filed by the accused in the High Court was rejected, First Class Judicial Magistrate, Jawhar ordered to send both of them to police custody till December 29, 2025.
