President Draupadi Murmu formally inaugurated the Constitution of India in Santhali language.

New Delhi . Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the release of the Constitution of India in Santhali language by President Draupadi Murmu. He said that this will increase awareness about the Constitution and strengthen democratic participation.

Responding to the President’s social media platform ‘X’ on Friday, Prime Minister Modi said, “This is a commendable effort. A Constitution in Santhali language will deepen constitutional awareness and democratic participation. India is proud of the contribution of Santhali community to Santhali culture and national progress.”

It is noteworthy that President Draupadi Murmu formally inaugurated the Constitution of India in Santhali language on Thursday. This constitution has been published in Alchiki script of Santhali language. Santhali language is one of the ancient living languages ​​of India. It was included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution through the 92nd Amendment Act, 2003. This language is mainly spoken by a large number of tribal communities in Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar.
