The US market, which opened after the Christmas holiday, saw limited trading volume during the last session, due to which Wall Street indices closed with a slight decline. The S&P 500 index closed at 6,929.95 points with a weakness of 0.03 percent.

Similarly, Nasdaq ended the last session’s trading at the level of 23,595.83 points with a fall of 0.07 percent. Dow Johns Futures is currently seen trading at the level of 48,778.29 points with a rise of 0.14 percent.

Mixed trading is seen in the Asian market today. Of the nine markets in Asia, the indices of six are trading strongly in the green, while three indices remain in the red with a decline. GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 26,069.50 points with a nominal weakness of 0.02 percent.

Similarly, Nikkei index has fallen by 139.39 points or 0.27 percent and has reached the level of 50,611 points. Apart from this, the SET Composite Index has fallen by 0.31 percent to the level of 1,255.39 points. On the other hand, Kospi index is trading at the level of 4,197 points with a strength of 1.63 percent. Similarly, Taiwan Weighted Index has reached the level of 28,775.01 points with an increase of 218.99 points or 0.77 percent.

Apart from this, Jakarta Composite Index jumped by 0.77 percent to the level of 8,603.68 points, Hang Seng Index increased by 108.07 points or 0.42 percent to the level of 25,927 points, Shanghai Composite Index jumped by 0.31 percent to the level of 3,975.92 points and Straits Times Index increased marginally by 0.06 percent. Also trading at the level of 4,638.70 points.
