Rape of an eight year old girl who went to break the toilet, accused arrested in police encounter

Hardoi . A very serious and sensitive case has come to light from Pihani Kotwali area of ​​the district. An incident of rape by a young man took place with an innocent eight-year-old girl who had gone to pluck water from the fields. On the complaint of the victim’s mother, the police immediately registered a case and started searching for the accused.

According to the information, the girl, resident of a village in Pihani Kotwali area, had gone to Akohra village to break bathua along with another girl from the same village at around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon. It is alleged that during this time Munendra, a resident of Akohra, reached there and lured the girl and took her to a nearby mustard field, where he committed the crime. When the girl screamed at the time of the incident, the girl accompanying her reached the spot and raised an alarm. Hearing the noise, people working in the nearby fields also reached there, after which the accused fled from the spot. On receiving the information, the victim’s mother informed the police about the incident.

Police registered an FIR against accused Munendra under sections of rape and POCSO Act. After this, the police team under the leadership of CO Hariyawan Ajit Chauhan started trying to arrest the accused. On Friday night at around 8 pm, the police team surrounded the accused near Jareli village of Pihani Kotwali area. During this, the accused fired at the police team with a pistol. In retaliatory action by the police, the accused was shot in the left leg, due to which he was injured. The injured accused has been admitted to the medical college for treatment. Police have recovered a pistol, cartridges and a shell from his possession.
