Jodhpur: People attacked a young man accused of abducting a girl in Luni area of Jodhpur. The attackers brutally beat up the young man, broke his arms and legs and cut off his nose with a sharp weapon. After the attack, the accused has been admitted to Mathuradas Mathur Hospital in a bleeding condition. Assistant Police Commissioner (Boranada) Anandsingh Rajpurohit said that the injured youth Dinesh Bishnoi had abducted a girl from the neighboring village eight days ago. Under pressure from the police and villagers, he released the girl on Thursday.
Dinesh reached the village in an SUV, when the villagers attacked him. During this time his vehicle was also vandalized. Dinesh suffered fractures in his hands and legs in the attack, while his condition remains critical due to excessive bleeding. After the incident the attackers fled from the spot.
The accused is wanted in NDPS and POCSO
Police officer Suresh Chaudhary said that on December 26, the girl’s family had filed a missing report against Dinesh. Investigation revealed that Dinesh had earlier been arrested under the NDPS Act and had absconded after being released on parole. He is also accused of POCSO Act and was not appearing in the court after being released on bail. Police have started investigating the case and are searching for the attackers. There is an atmosphere of tension in the area after the incident.
