Stock market: Great recovery from low level, Nifty also jumped

New Delhi. The domestic stock market made a spectacular recovery from the low level today. Sensex jumped more than 1,100 points from the low today. Similarly, Nifty also made a strong jump of about 340 points from the lower level.

Today’s trading started with weakness. There was continuous pressure in the market in the first session of the day, but after 12 noon, the movement of both Sensex and Nifty indices increased strongly. After the entire day’s trading, Sensex closed with a gain of 0.36 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.42 percent.

Today, during the day’s trading, there was continuous buying in shares of metal, oil and gas, energy, banking and consumer durable sectors. Similarly, FMCG and Public Sector Enterprise indices also closed with strength.

On the other hand, Automobile, IT, Capital Goods, Pharmaceutical, Realty, Media and Tech indices closed with weakness due to selling pressure. There was continuous selling pressure in the broader market today, due to which the BSE Midcap Index closed with a decline of 0.41 percent.

Similarly, the Smallcap index ended today’s trading with a weakness of 0.68 percent. Today, due to the strength in the stock market, the wealth of stock market investors increased by more than Rs 1 lakh crore.

The market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased to Rs 468.96 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading. Whereas on the last trading day of last week i.e. Friday, their market capitalization was Rs 467.74 lakh crore.

In this way, investors made a profit of about Rs 1.22 lakh crore from today’s trading. Today, there was active trading in 4,485 shares in BSE during the day’s trading. Of these, 1,570 shares closed with gains, while 2,720 shares were in decline, while 195 shares closed without any movement.

There was active trading in 2,910 shares in NSE today. Of these, 1,044 shares closed in the green after earning profit and 1,866 shares closed in the red after incurring a loss. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 25 shares closed with gains and 5 shares closed with decline. Whereas out of 50 stocks included in Nifty, 39 stocks closed in the green mark and 11 stocks closed in the red mark.

BSE Sensex opened today with a weakness of 140.93 points at the level of 83,435.31 points. As soon as the trading started, with the support of buying, this index jumped by about 180 points from the opening level and reached 83,617.53 points in the green.

After some time, selling pressure was created in the market, due to which the movement of this index declined. Due to continuous selling, the Sensex had fallen by 715.17 points to 82,861.07 points just before 12 noon. After the end of the first session of the day, buyers made buying efforts in the market, due to which the movement of this index increased.

With the support of continuous buying, shortly before the end of today’s trading, this index jumped by 1,101.26 points from the low level and reached the level of 82,861.07 points with a gain of 386.09 points. After the whole day’s trading, the Sensex slipped by about 85 points from the upper level and closed at 83,878.17 points with a gain of 301.93 points.

Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty today started trading at 25,669.05 points, falling 14.25 points. As soon as the market opened, with the support of buying, this index improved to reach 25,700.95 points in the green.

After this, due to selling started in the market, within a short time this index again fell into the red mark. Due to continuous selling, Nifty slipped 209.90 points and fell to 25,473.40 in the last round of the first session of the day.

Around 12 noon, buyers made buying efforts in the market, due to which the movement of this index started increasing. With the support of continuous buying, shortly before the end of today’s trading, this index jumped 339.75 points from the low level and reached the level of 25,813.15 points with a gain of 129.85 points.

In the end, due to slight selling due to intra-day settlement, Nifty slipped about 23 points from the upper level and closed at 25,790.25 points with a gain of 106.95 points.

After buying and selling throughout the day today, among the big stocks of the stock market, Coal India with a gain of 3.33 percent, Tata Steel by 2.71 percent, Asian Paints by 2.51 percent, Hindalco Industries by 2.13 percent and Trent Limited by 2.10 percent joined the list of today’s top 5 gainers.

On the other hand, Infosys joined the list of today’s top 5 losers with a weakness of 1.13 per cent, TMPV 1.02 per cent, Eicher Motors 0.95 per cent, Bajaj Finance 0.80 per cent and Bajaj Auto 0.75 per cent.
