Dragon enraged by Trump’s stance on Greenland

Beijing: Donald Trump is now busy trying to establish America’s control over Greenland. Venezuela’s morale has increased significantly after President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were taken hostage in a military operation. They have given many statements regarding control over Greenland, the essence of which is that if America gets dominance over Greenland through mutual negotiations then it is fine, otherwise they will not back down from any military action. At the same time, China has been enraged by this attitude of America. Trump has been clearly advised by China that America should stop using other countries for its own interests. Along with this, China also said that its activities in the Arctic are in accordance with international law.

What did China say on Trump’s statement?
When asked in Beijing about US President Trump’s statement that Washington’s occupation of Greenland is necessary to prevent China and Russia from occupying Greenland, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said – “China’s activities in the Arctic are aimed at promoting peace, stability and sustainable development in the region and are in accordance with international law.” However, he did not give much information about those activities.

The rights of all countries must be respected
Without directly mentioning Greenland, Mao said, “The rights and freedoms of all countries to carry out lawful activities in the Arctic should be fully respected. The United States should not make excuses for other countries to take advantage of it.”

Arctic is linked to the full benefit of the international community
“The Arctic is for the benefit of the entire international community,” he said. Let us tell you that in 2018, China had declared itself a country near the Arctic in an attempt to exert more influence in this area. Beijing has also announced plans to build the Polar Silk Road as part of its global Belt and Road Initiative, which has built economic links with countries around the world.

Will Trump forcibly take possession, know what he said?
Let us tell you that in an interview given to The New York Times, Trump had said that he wants ownership of the entire Greenland instead of relying only on the long-standing agreement, which gives the US broad permission to use military bases in Greenland. “Ownership gives you something that no lease or treaty can give you. What you don’t get just by signing a document, ownership gives you,” Trump said. In fact, America is party to a 1951 treaty, under which it has broad rights to establish military bases there with the consent of Denmark and Greenland.
