Cold record broken again in Delhi: Alert issued for two days

According to the Meteorological Department, where in the year 2024, 3.3 degree minimum temperature was recorded on January 15 and in the year 2025, 4.8 degree mercury was recorded on January 9.

The mercury dropped below three degrees

The maximum humidity in Delhi was 100 percent and the minimum humidity was 53 percent.

Cold wave and fog conditions
According to the Meteorological Department, minimum mercury was recorded at 4.2 in Ridge, 3.2 in Aya Nagar, 3 in Lodhi Road and 3.3 in Palam. According to the Meteorological Department, cold wave and fog conditions were felt in various areas of Delhi on Monday. In this, coldness increased in Safdarjung, Palam, Lodhi Road CHO and Ayanagar. At the same time, on January 16, the day temperature will be between 21 to 23 degrees and the night temperature will be between six to eight degrees. The minimum temperature was this day

According to meteorologists, when the minimum temperature in the plains remains less than ten degrees and the maximum temperature also falls by 4.5 to 6.5 degrees Celsius, then that day is recorded as a cold day. Apart from this, whenever the minimum temperature in the plains is less than ten degrees and if the maximum temperature also falls by more than 6.5 degrees Celsius than the normal, then that day is recorded as a severe cold day.
