Big success in anti-Naxal operation in Sukma, 29 Naxalites surrendered

Sukma. The ongoing anti-Naxal operations in Sukma district have achieved a major success. Amidst strict action by security forces and increasing surveillance, 29 male Naxalites have laid down their arms and surrendered. This step is being considered important towards restoring peace in the area.

According to sources, after the establishment of Gogunda camp, security arrangements have been strengthened in the area. Due to the constant presence of security forces, intensive search operations and strategies like area domination, pressure on Naxalite organizations increased. As a result of this pressure, many Naxalites decided to stay away from violence and organizational activities and adopt a normal life.

All the 29 Naxalites who surrendered surrendered themselves to the law before Sukma Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan. During this, the police administration gave them detailed information about the rehabilitation and surrender policy of the state government. Officials said that under this policy, those who surrender are provided opportunities for resettlement in the society, employment and a better future.

Police officials say that this mass surrender has almost ended the Naxal influence of the Keralapal Area Committee. This achievement is a positive sign not only for Sukma district but for the entire region. The security forces have clarified that the Naxal eradication campaign will continue with full commitment, so as to ensure lasting peace and development in the region.
