Mumbai. Mumbai’s Shivajinagar Police has solved the case of the brutal murder of 19-year-old Shifa Tufail Shaikh. Due to which a horrifying story of jealousy and planned murder has come to light. Preliminary police investigation has confirmed that Shifa was shot dead by 26-year-old Tabassum Sher Mohammad Shaikh, who was considering Shifa an obstacle in his new love relationship.
Along with Tabassum, the police have also arrested three other people. In which his brother Sajid Sher Mohammad Sheikh (23), his alleged lover Rizwan Shamshuddin Sheikh alias Nadeem (28) and his friend Kalam Abdul Salam Chaudhary (19), all four accused have been sent to police custody till 18 February.
According to the FIR lodged by the victim’s father, Tufail Ahmed Nabi Hussain Shaikh (42), a contactor resident of Baiganwadi, Govandi, the story started about eight months ago. Shifa had befriended Nadeem, who had criminal tendencies.
Let us tell you that this shocking incident happened from Shivajinagar area of Govandi around the afternoon of Tuesday, (10 February 2026). When 19 year old Shifa was shot dead in broad daylight. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the entire area and the local people are scared. Shifa had come out of the house for breakfast when an unknown person opened fire on her, the bullet hit her neck and cheek. As soon as the sound of the bullet was heard, there was chaos in the area. Local people immediately put him in an autorickshaw and took him to Shatabdi Hospital, but doctors declared him dead. In this matter, the police have registered a case against unknown accused under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and further investigation is underway, but this incident has created panic and an atmosphere of fear in the area. At the same time, police officials say that the matter is being investigated from every angle. In the preliminary investigation of the police, suspicion of murder due to ‘love triangle’ has been raised. According to the information, Shifa lived with her family in Kamla Raman Nagar of Baiganwadi. She was in a relationship with a young man named Nadeem. Also, information has come to light about Nadeem having a love affair with another girl.
