Video of check bounce case goes viral, Rajpal Yadav said – ‘I did not take the money, the court saved me’

Actor Rajpal Yadav, famous for comedy, is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail due to a check bounce case. Meanwhile, an old interview of his is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which he is seen talking openly about the allegations against him. In the video, he has completely rejected the allegations of taking money for making the film.

He was also questioned about the direction of the film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’. On this Rajpal Yadav said that he was not the director of this film nor does he consider himself a director. He described himself as basically an actor and called it a creative experiment. He said that it was an attempt to give a Broadway-like experience on 70 mm.

Referring to the losses suffered in the last ten years, Rajpal said in an emotional tone that many attempts were made to snatch away many things from him, but no one can snatch away his laughter and his spirit. Speaking on the legal matter, he said that the matter is still pending in the court and he has full faith in the judiciary. He even said that if there was no court, he might have been a victim of a serious conspiracy. According to him, the court is the place where the truth comes out.

It is noteworthy that he was accused of taking Rs 5 crore for the film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’ released in 2012. Made with a budget of around Rs 11 crore, this film flopped badly at the box office and could earn only Rs 34 lakh. Along with Rajpal Yadav, actors like Asrani, Ompuri, Ashutosh Rana and Manoj Joshi were also seen in the film.
