Motihari: There was a sensation on Friday when the dead body of a youth was found hanging in the sleeper coach (S-5) of Satyagraha Express parked in the washing pit at Raxaul Railway Junction. Wound marks caused by a rope-like object were found on the neck of the deceased. Railway police has started investigating whether the matter is suicide or murder. After the incident came to light, there was a stir in the railway department and information was immediately given to the senior officer. After this, senior officials reached the spot and started investigation.
What is the whole matter?
According to the information received, train number 15273 (Satyagraha Express) was standing in the washing pit for cleaning and maintenance. Meanwhile, the railway workers noticed a young man hanging from the noose in coach number S-5. The age of the young man is said to be around 20 years. According to the people present at the spot, the injury marks on the neck of the young man are suspicious, which is strengthening the suspicion of murder. At present the deceased has not been identified. The body of the youth was found hanging from a chain on berth number 57 in coach number S5. According to the information, after the train reached Raxaul, it was stopped at the washing pit for cleaning. When preparations were being made to send the train back to Delhi on Friday, the dead body was found during inspection of the coach.
FSL investigated
As soon as information about the incident was received, DSRP of Bettiah inspected the incident site closely. FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team was also called for scientific investigation of the case. The team has collected many important evidences from the spot. Police believe that forensic investigation will clearly reveal the time and cause of death.
What did the administration tell?
Regarding this incident, Raxaul GRP police station incharge Pawan Kumar said that the body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. He said, “Efforts are on to identify the youth. Considering the marks found on the neck and the condition of the incident site, the police is investigating at all points. The situation will be completely clear only after the post-mortem report comes. At present, further legal action is being taken.”
