Prime Minister Modi arrives in Assam today, will inaugurate Bhaskar Verma Bridge

Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much awaited Kumar Bhaskar Verma Bridge today. This bridge is being considered an important achievement in the field of infrastructure for the state. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi will also participate in a public meeting organized at Lachit Ghat, where he will address the public.

He informed that at 1 pm the Prime Minister will inaugurate the bridge connecting Guwahati and North Guwahati, which will make the traffic between the two areas more convenient.

Dr. Sarma said that the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) was approved during the tenure of Congress and the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had talked about establishing it in Shillong. He told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate IIM in Guwahati tomorrow.

The Chief Minister closely inspected all the preparations in the last phase before the arrival of the Prime Minister and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
