Emmanuel Macron visits India on the occasion of AI Impact Summit

Mumbai: To take the unbroken diplomatic relations between India and France to a new height, French President Emmanuel Macron is reaching Mumbai today on a two-day visit to India. During this visit, an important meeting is to be held between President Macron and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his visit, President Emmanuel Macron will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 17.

Meeting of two top leaders in Mumbai
It is being told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself can welcome President Macron. Macron will reach India today, but his tour will start from February 17. A bilateral meeting between the two leaders is likely to be held in Mumbai on February 17, in which defence, security and economic relations will be discussed. After bilateral talks in Mumbai, the two top leaders will leave together for New Delhi. Here he will participate in ‘AI Impact Summit 2026’.

Important topics like bilateral relations, defense cooperation, trade, technology and artificial intelligence (AI) are likely to be discussed in this meeting. There can also be talks on further strengthening the strategic partnership between India and France. Prime Minister Modi is reaching Mumbai tomorrow evening.

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs had said that during this visit, the two leaders will discuss strengthening mutual cooperation in several areas mentioned in the Horizon 2047 roadmap. In addition, the leaders will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual benefit, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
