Mumbai: Well-known screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on the morning of 17 February. No information was received about why he was admitted to the hospital, but his doctor has finally given a statement on Salim Khan’s health. Taking full care of the privacy of the family, he told that a team of 4 different doctors is treating them. A health bulletin will also be issued soon to give more updates on his health.
What does the treating doctor say?
Doctor Jalil Parkar, who is treating Salim Khan, has shared an update regarding his health. He said in a recent statement, ‘Hello everyone! Yes, it is true that Mr. Salim Khan (father of famous Bollywood actor Salman Khan) and an icon himself, has been admitted to the ICU of Lilavati Hospital at 8.30 am under the supervision of Dr. Jalil Parkar. His family doctor Dr. Sandeep Chopra brought him to the emergency room. Emergency care was initiated and Mr Salim Khan was shifted to intensive care on the first floor. A team of doctors comprising Dr. Vinay Chavan (Neurologist), Dr. Ajit Menon (Cardiologist), Dr. Nitin Dange (Neurosurgeon) and Dr. Bineet Ahluwalia are treating him.
When will the health bulletin be released?
Sharing more information on Salim Khan’s health, Dr. Jalil said, ‘Out of respect for the request of the relatives, no more information is being shared today. However, tomorrow at 11 am we will issue a press bulletin with the consent of the relatives and completely maintaining the confidentiality of the patient. Please support us. He is stable but is being closely monitored regarding his clinical status. Regards.’
Family members reached the hospital
This morning Salman Khan was seen outside Lilavati Hospital. The actor was seen leaving the hospital with heavy security. He quickly emerged from the crowd, without looking at the media waiting outside and went straight towards his car. After this the family members kept reaching the hospital continuously. Salma Khan, Helen, Arbaaz Khan with his wife Shura Khan and Malaika-Arbaaz’s son Arhaan Khan were seen reaching Lilavati Hospital. Alvira Agnihotri also reached the hospital. Her husband Atul Agnihotri was also clicked outside the hospital in the morning.
