‘Samvad Setu’ initiative launched for quick response to calls from public representatives
Lucknow . Minister of State for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) Aseem Arun has started a new initiative after the issue of officials not picking up the calls of public representatives was raised in the Assembly. He has decided to implement the pilot project ‘Samvad Setu’ in the districts under his charge Hardoi, Ghaziabad and his constituency Kannauj.
Under this scheme, a contact and command center will be established at the district level. If any officer does not pick up the phone or call back within 10 minutes, the command center will contact the concerned officer and ensure call back.
The record of response time of officers will be kept safe in the software. Besides, information about their duty, leave or training will also be available, so that an alternative officer can be contacted if needed.
This arrangement will be applicable only on working days and office hours. According to the minister, it will be started from February 25. Officers performing better will be encouraged, while in case of negligence, reports will be sent to the government. The objective of this initiative is to ensure timely and transparent communication between public representatives and officers.
