Area shocked by sensational murder, younger brother brutally murdered elder brother
Jhansi: The case which was initially considered a missing person in Biharipura locality of Nagara Premnagar police station area, turned out to be a brutal murder during police investigation.
It is alleged that the younger brother killed his MBA-possessed elder brother after a dispute over abusive language and then hatched a well-planned conspiracy to destroy the evidence. According to the police, the body was buried by digging a pit behind the house, salt was added and efforts were made to erase every trace related to the murder.
Actually, this incident happened in the family of a retired teacher. Father had died in a road accident in 2022. Mother and two sons lived in the family. The elder son, 38-year-old Tariq Baig, was an MBA pass and was preparing for competitive examinations. After his father’s death, he was supposed to get a job on compassionate appointment, but he did not accept the post of peon.
Later, younger brother Mashariq got the same job, after which there was a situation of tension in the family. According to the police, on February 9, only the two brothers were present in the house, while the mother had gone to her maternal home. During this time, there was a dispute over some issue, which soon turned into a violent fight.
It is alleged that the younger brother attacked and killed the elder brother with an ax and knife. After the incident, the accused planned to dispose of the body and hide his identity. During interrogation, the accused allegedly told that he dug a pit about five feet deep in the courtyard behind the house and stripped the body and buried it in it.
To prevent the smell from spreading, salt was added and bricks were placed on top. After this, the blood stains spread in the house were cleaned. The blood stained clothes were washed in the washing machine and the axe, knife and shovel used in the murder were thrown into a drain about three kilometers away.
According to the police, the accused also took the mobile phone of the deceased to the forest and burnt it, so that no digital evidence was left. Later, as suspicion increased, clothes were also burnt. The day after the murder, when the mother called, she found the elder son’s mobile switched off.
The accused told them that his son had gone somewhere. In this way the family was misled for four days and the matter of murder was hidden. The maternal uncle of the deceased has alleged that after the incident, the in-laws of the accused locked the house and ran away. He has also expressed suspicion of the accused’s wife and his brother being involved in the conspiracy.
Police is also investigating this aspect. At the same time, according to sources, the family had property worth crores and property dispute is also being considered as a possible reason, although the police say that it is too early to reach any conclusion before the investigation is completed.
