ISI and Bangladeshi terrorist network exposed, eight suspected terrorists in custody
New Delhi. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has detained eight suspected terrorists from Tamil Nadu. An official gave this information on Sunday. A Bangladeshi citizen is also among the arrested accused. It is alleged that all of them were planning a major attack in India on the instructions of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and Bangladesh-based terrorist organizations.
According to sources, all the suspects were detained from various garment factories in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu and later brought to Delhi via train. Police have recovered dozens of mobile phones and SIM cards from them. The arrested accused have been identified as Mizanur Rahman, Mohammad Shabat, Umar, Mohammad Litton, Mohammad Shahid and Mohammad Ujjal, while two others were nabbed from West Bengal, officials said. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused were using fake Aadhar cards to hide their identities. A senior officer said, ‘By posing as textile industry workers, they were busy expanding their terrorist network.’
According to the police, the accused were propagating Pakistan-based terrorist organizations using social media platforms and trying to influence the youth of the area. Officials said that eight mobile phones and 16 SIM cards have been seized from the accused.
Data extracted from the devices found evidence of links to foreign handlers and investigators also suspect cross-border funding. Apart from this, information about the accused putting up ‘Azad Kashmir’ posters in Delhi and being involved in other suspicious activities has also come to light.
