Air ambulance going from Ranchi to Delhi crashed in the forests, seven people including the pilot were on board

Chatra/Ranchi. News of a plane crash has come to light from Chatra district of Jharkhand. An air ambulance plane that left for Delhi from Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi crashed in the dense forests of Simaria police station area. According to preliminary information, seven people on board the plane are feared dead.

It is being told that a serious patient was being taken to Delhi in emergency situation. A family member, a doctor, a mail nurse and crew members were on board the plane along with the patient. These include pilot Vivek Vikas Bhagat, Swarajdeep Singh, patients Sanjay Kumar, Archanadevi, Dhruv, Dr. Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sachin Kumar Mishra.

Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft lost contact with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and disappeared from radar. After this, local villagers informed that a loud bang was heard from the forests of Khasiyatu Karam Tand of Simaria area.

Eyewitnesses say that the plane was seen flying in an unbalanced condition in the sky, after which it fell into the forest shortly after. Due to the accident site being inaccessible and surrounded by dense forests, relief and rescue operations are becoming difficult. As soon as the information was received, the team of Simaria police station and district administration has left for the spot and efforts are being made to reach the debris.

The primary focus of the administration is on taking out the dead bodies and cordoning off the incident site and starting the investigation process. The official identity of the people on board the plane has not been made public yet. The reasons for the accident are not clearly known, but technical fault is being suspected.

It is learned that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has been informed to investigate the matter. The administration has appealed to avoid any kind of speculation till the detailed report comes. A senior police officer has confirmed this.
