Uttar Pradesh: A man was allegedly beaten to death by his wife and daughter in Izzatnagar police station area of Bareilly district. The police have arrested both the accused and sent them to judicial custody. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 48-year-old Balkaram.
It is being told that on Sunday he had gone to attend his nephew’s pre-wedding function, where he consumed alcohol. After returning home late in the evening, he had a dispute with his wife Rekha and daughter Pinky. According to Izzatnagar police station in-charge Bijendra Singh, the dispute escalated so much that both of them together attacked Balkaram with sticks.
It is alleged that during the beating he suffered serious injuries and died. After the incident, the accused tried to hide the matter and did not inform anyone. Initially the information given to the police said that Balkaram had fallen from the stairs.
But when the post mortem report came out, the matter changed. In the report, about 15 injury marks were found on the body. Doctors attributed the cause of death to shock and excessive bleeding.
Based on the report, an FIR was registered on the complaint of a relative of the deceased. On Monday, the police detained Rekha and Pinky. After interrogation, both were formally arrested. The police have also recovered the sticks used in the crime.
