Cumin buttermilk (without tadka)- To make this, you can either take curd or buy plain buttermilk from the market. If you are using curd then add water to it, stir well and make buttermilk. Now roast 1 teaspoon cumin seeds on the pan. When the cumin seeds cool down, grind them coarsely with the help of a rolling pin. Now add ground cumin, black salt, asafoetida and some chaat masala to the buttermilk. Cumin buttermilk is ready, you can drink it plain or take it with food.

Cumin Tadka Buttermilk- To make this buttermilk, you have to dilute the curd by whipping it. If you are making plain with buttermilk then keep it like that. Add black salt and chaat masala in buttermilk. Add some ground roasted cumin seeds to it. Now add 1 teaspoon mustard oil in a ladle of a pan. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds. Add asafoetida in it and turn off the gas flame. Now add 1 pinch of red chilli powder and add the tadka to the buttermilk and immediately cover it. Cumin tadka buttermilk is ready.
