President reached Jagannath temple and addressed, from today Lord Jagannath has become Jamshedpur Bihari
Jamshedpur. ‘This is the right time for the establishment of Sri Sri Jagannath Temple in Jamshedpur. Lord Jagannath does not come quickly, one has to wait for his arrival. ‘From today Lord Jagannath has become Jamshedpur Bihari.’
President of India Draupadi Murmu said these things on Thursday on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of Sri Sri Jagannath Temple and Jagannath Spiritual Charitable Center at Marine Drive in Kadma. Addressing the meeting organized after Bhoomi Pujan, he said in an emotional tone that now Lord Jagannath is going to be seated in Jamshedpur and ‘from today Lord Jagannath Jamshedpur has become Bihari.’ Referring to the Jagannath temple established in Ranchi, the President said that after the construction of the temple there, the Lord came to be known as ‘Nidachadh Bihari’ and is now being widely worshiped in Jharkhand. With the construction of the temple in Jamshedpur, his blessings will shower on this city also.
He expressed confidence that this spiritual and charitable center will not only become a center of religious faith but will also prove to be an important place for social service and cultural consciousness. Earlier, as soon as President Draupadi Murmu arrived at the venue of the program located at Kadma Marine Drive, an atmosphere of excitement was created in the entire campus. Bhoomi Pujan was completed amid Vedic chanting and rituals and formally started the construction of the temple.
In his address, President Murmu mentioned the glory of Lord Jagannath and said that he is the most accessible and beloved God, whose popularity is all over the world. Referring to the tradition of Rath Yatra, he said that when the Rath Yatra starts, the Lord arrives among the devotees with swings, songs and celebrations. His arrival is a symbol of waiting and devotion.
On this occasion, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren were also present. Many distinguished guests including former Union Minister Arjun Munda and his wife, MP Vidyut Varan Mahato, MLA Saryu Rai were present in the program.
