SIT investigation found 103 degrees from 2 universities fake
Fake Degree: A big scandal had come to light recently from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Here the police had arrested four youths with fake degrees. Further investigation revealed that this was a gang whose network extended to many other districts of UP. SIT investigation found 103 degrees to be fake. On Wednesday, two universities of Faridabad and Hapur denied issuing degrees from them. After which SIT has now intensified the investigation of degrees issued from other universities. The teams that went to Aligarh, Firozabad and Saharanpur have not yet returned after conducting the investigation.

Kidwai Nagar police raided Shell Group of Education near Gaushala intersection and arrested four youths with fake degrees. These people were doing this work since 2012. More than 900 degree, migration, certificates related to 15 universities of 9 states were found from them. This also includes 357 degrees of CSJMU. The mastermind of the gang is Shailendra Kumar Ojha who operates the entire network. Along with him, Nagesh Mani Tripathi, Jogendra and Ashwani Kumar Singh were sent to jail by the police. SIT and surveillance team are searching for Chhatarpur resident Mayank Bhardwaj, Hyderabad resident Manish alias Ravi, Ghaziabad resident Vineet, Bhopal resident Sheku and Shubham Dubey, who are associated with the gang.
Five teams of SIT started investigation
On Tuesday, five teams of SIT had reached Lingya of Faridabad, Monad of Hapur, Mangalayatan of Aligarh, Glocal of Saharanpur and JS University of Firozabad to investigate. According to officials, the degrees of Lingya and Monad Universities that were recovered were examined by the university management. Officials of both the universities clearly denied that the degrees were theirs. 100 degrees of Linga and 3 degrees of Monad were recovered. After this report, the crime branch is now assuming that the degrees issued from other private universities will also be found to be fake. However, the teams that went to Aligarh, Firozabad and Saharanpur have not yet returned after investigation.
CSJMU did not give data of 357
Joint Commissioner of Police Crime and Headquarters said that data of 357 degrees and information about the number of working babus was sought from CSJMU. However, this information has not been given yet. On the other hand, the university management says that if they get the recovered degrees, they should extract the complete data and give it.
Transaction worth Rs 7 crore in 5 years
When the SIT took out the details of the account opened in the name of Shell Group of Education for five years between 2021 and 2025, it found transactions worth about Rs 7 crore. The account opened in the name of Shell Group of Education is operated by Shailendra Kumar Ojha. SIT is now finding out where and how much money was sent from the account.
