Six people died tragically in a horrific road accident in Balotra, Rajasthan.

Jodhpur/Balotra. Six people were killed and several passengers were injured in a horrific road accident on National Highway-25 in Sarwadi village of Balotra district of Jodhpur division on Friday, who were later referred to Jodhpur.

Most of the passengers in the bus were from Jalore and Sanchore. The trailer-sleeper bus collision was so severe that the driver’s side part of the bus was damaged. Bodies of passengers traveling in the bus were seen hanging. Two real brothers, aged three and six years, were beheaded.

After the accident, there was chaos on the highway and long queues of vehicles formed on both sides. Sanchore resident Anusha (22), daughter of Bhagwana Ram Data and Narpat (30), son of Sadaram, posted as LDC in the Commercial Tax Department in Jodhpur, also died in the accident.

Both were coming to the village on Holi holiday. As soon as the information was received, Kalyanpur police station reached the spot and started rescue. The injured were taken to Kalyanpur Community Health Center (CHC) with the help of ambulance, from where 8 injured were referred to Jodhpur. The bodies were kept in the mortuary of Nahta Hospital in Balotra.

Balotra SDM Ashok Kumar said that the accident happened at 4 pm. The bus was going from Jodhpur towards Sanchore, while the trailer was coming towards Jodhpur. The bus driver was trying to overtake two vehicles moving ahead. During this, the driver’s side part collided with the trailer coming from the front.

The five people killed in the accident have been identified as Narpat (50) resident of Chitalwana (Jalore), Nagaram (38) resident of Sayla (Jalore), Anusha (22) resident of Danta (Jalore), Shivraj (3) and Yuvraj (6) son of Dharuram resident of Bagora (Jalore). Shivraj and Yuvraj were real brothers.
