Badaun. On Saturday, a monthly meeting of Anganwadi workers was organized at Malviya Residential Home. On this occasion, a memorandum was submitted to City Magistrate Suresh Pal Singh.
In the meeting, Mandal President Mor Gupta and District President Rajesh Kumar Saxena said that injustice is being done to Anganwadi sisters and beneficiaries. He said that NAFED supply of refined oil, pulses and porridge is coming regularly every month to many projects including Asafpur, Ambiyapur, Kadarchowk, Dahagwa. Whereas sweet porridge and salty porridge of the local unit are being supplied to projects like Bisauli, Wazirganj, Dataganj, Samrer, Salarpur etc. Due to which there is discord among the beneficiaries. District Vice President Khajana Devi said that the honorarium of the new Anganwadi workers in the district has not been received yet even after 8 months. At the same time, honorarium of two-four months of some Anganwadi workers and assistants is also pending, that too should be provided soon. District General Secretary Shobha Verma and Kumkum Johari Treasurer appealed to all the sisters to gather and said that unless we gather, the government is not ready to listen to us. In the memorandum, a demand was made to get the pending honorarium promptly and to provide uniform supply of nutritious food and supply of nutritious food should be made according to the registered children. He told that the next meeting of the organization will be held on March 22.
