Tension at its peak after Khamenei’s death, Iran attacks Dubai city of UAE

Dubai/Tel Aviv. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) this morning carried out an airstrike on the UAE city of Dubai after Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several members of his family were killed in a joint Israel-US strike. A large part of Jebel Ali International Airport was damaged in this attack. Smoke is visible inside the airport in the viral video on social media. The staff is vacating the building. There have also been explosions in Doha, Qatar.

According to CNN report, there were continuous powerful explosions in Dubai in the morning. There is no news of any casualty yet. Smoke is visible in and around the airport. Debris from an air interception above Dubai’s Business Bay following the explosion sparked a fire in the city’s major commercial port, officials said. Efforts are being made to extinguish the fire.

On the other hand, several loud explosions were heard in Doha, Qatar at 7:30 am local time on Sunday morning. According to reports, people of Iran are celebrating in the street after the official announcement of Khamenei’s death. Iran has warned of an unprecedented attack after US President Donald Trump called for regime change. Israel’s National Emergency Service says one person was killed and 121 others were injured in the attacks across the country on Saturday. Another report said several people were killed in an Iranian missile attack on Tel Aviv.
