Shia community took out a candle march on the death of Ayatollah Khamenei, raised slogans against America and Israel.
Shahjahanpur. There is deep mourning in the Shia community here after the news of the death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Late Sunday evening, a crowd of people from Shia community started gathering at Shia Juma Masjid Bijlipura. At eight o’clock on Sunday night, under the leadership of the community’s chief religious leader Maulana Ragib Abbas, dozens of people from the Shia community gathered at the Jama Masjid in Bijli Pura, all holding posters of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and candles in their hands. During this, people raised slogans against American President Trump and Israeli President Netanyahu. The candle march passed from Bijlipura via Anta intersection and reached near the old hospital. Where people expressed their grief and anger against Trump and Netanyahu. Ragib Abbas has called on people to express grief in solidarity during this period. He said that black flags should be put up at all Shia houses, Imambaras and religious places. Organizers say that a large number of people participated. The condolence meeting remembered the life, thoughts and contributions of the late leader. Collective prayers were offered. After the condolence meeting, people paid tribute by taking out a candle march and lighting candles. Dozens of people from Shia community including Waqar ul Hasan, Hasan Askari, Shahid Raza, Zafar Hasnain, Nasir Mehndi Zaidi, Maqsoodur Raza, Faizan Raja etc. participated in the candle march.
