Bhopal: Memories come alive in the proud reunion of MANIT 1986 batch after 40 years.

Bhopal. The two-day grand reunion program of the alumni of the year 1986 batch of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) located in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, organized after 40 years, was completed in a dignified and enthusiastic atmosphere on Sunday.

This reunion, held after four decades, not only brought together old friends on one stage, but also revived the memories, struggles and achievements of student life. On this special occasion, Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana was present in the program along with his classmates and described this meeting after a long gap as an emotional and inspiring experience.

The program was attended by senior IAS officer of Gujarat cadre Kamal Dayani and many eminent alumni working in high positions in administration, industry, technology, education, management and private sector in the country and abroad. Alumni from America, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries along with various states of the country including Bhopal participated in the reunion, giving the event an international character. A special atmosphere of intimacy, enthusiasm and emotional connection was seen among the friends meeting each other after almost 40 years.

Two-day event: a confluence of dialogue, memories and celebration

Under this reunion program which lasted for two days on 28th February and 01st March, various activities were organized in Police Officers Mess Bhopal, Motel Shiraz and Safal Retreat. The program included events like welcome session, introduction and experience sharing dialogue, group discussion, cultural evening and informal interaction where the participants shared their journey, achievements and experiences of their professional life.

The Shikara Ride organized at the famous Boat Club of Bhopal was a center of special attraction for the participants. During cycling and morning walk in Van Vihar National Park, everyone re-experienced the old relationships of friendship with nature.

Campus and hostel visit brought back golden days

The alumni toured the MANIT campus and visited their departments, classrooms and hostels. Many participants visited their old rooms and hostel corridors after decades, where memories of student life automatically got refreshed. On this occasion, a mass tree plantation program was organized in the institute premises, which became a symbol of environmental protection and permanent association with the institute.

Entertainment, participation and cultural color
To make the reunion memorable, fun games and interactive activities were organized by RJ Anadi in which all the alumni participated enthusiastically. Live band performance in the cultural evening enlivened the atmosphere and the old era songs took everyone back to the golden times of student life.
